Statutory text

(1) The [Chief Town & Country Planner] or any person authorised by the State Government in this behalf by general or special order, may compound any offence punishable under this Act.
(2) When an offence has been compounded, the offender, if in Custody, shall be discharged and no further proceedings shall be taken against him in respect of the offence already compounded.
