Head of Directorate

Head of Directorate.-

1. (1) For the administration of correctional services the Government shall appoint the Head of Directorate of appropriate rank, subject to the provisions of the Act, as may be prescribed under the rules.
2. (2) The Head of Directorate shall exercise powers and perform duties under this Act and other officials of correctional services shall work under the general superintendence, control and direction of the Head of Directorate.
3. (3) The Head of Directorate shall exercise such administrative, financial and disciplinary powers, as may be exercised by the Head of Department and such other powers, specifically conferred upon him by the Government, from time to time.
