Transfer of prisoners with mental illness

Transfer of prisoners with mental illness.- The Government/Competent Authority may, by a general or special order, direct the transfer of any prisoner with mental illness from the place of detention to any mental health establishment in the State with prior permission of the Board mentioned in Section 103 of the Mental Healthcare Act, 2017 (10 of 2017), as may be prescribed under the rules.
