Use of technology in prison and correctional institution administration

Use of technology in prison and correctional institution administration.-

1. (1) The Government shall endeavour to integrate and embed appropriate technology for the effective management, superintendence of prison and correctional institution and for the safety and security of inmates.
2. (2) The Government shall computerize the prison and correctional institution administration and integrate the database with the Central Government's computerized system for prison and correctional institution management. The Government shall also develop suitable interfaces for seamless sharing of information with the Central Government's computerized system.
3. (3) The Government shall use state of the art technological interventions to detect and prohibit use of unauthorized wireless communication devices and other electronic devices in prison and correctional institution.
