Appointment of Officers and staff of Board

(1) The State Government shall appoint an officer of the Labour Department not below the rank of Deputy Labour Commissioner, who shall be the Welfare Commissioner. (2) The Board may appoint such other officers and staff as it considers necessary for the efficient performance of its functions: Provided that the State Government may direct the Board to appoint such number of officers and staff as it may specify. (3) The Welfare Commissioner and officers and staff appointed under sub-sections (1) and (2) shall be entitled to such salary and allowances and shall be governed by such conditions of service as may be prescribed. The State Government may, in consultation with the Board, depute to the service of the Board any Government Servant and the terms and conditions of deputation of such servants shall be determined by the State Government in consultation with the Board and the terms and conditions so determined shall be binding on the Board.
