Cognizance of offences
The Kerala Agricultural Workers Act 1974No court shall take cognizance of any offence punishable under this Act, except on complaint made by, or with the previous sanction in writing of, the Government or an officer authorised by the Government in this behalf by notification in the Gazette, and no court inferior to that of a Magistrate of the First Class shall try any offence punishable under this Act. Any person who claims payment under paragraph 29 shall submit an application in Form No. V to the Chief Executive who may, at the option of the person to whom payment is to be made, make the payment by money order at the cost of the payee, or by Crossed Cheque sent through post or by deposit in the payee's Postal Savings Bank Account, if any.
