Casual vacancies

Casual vacancies.-

1. (1) A casual vacancy in the office of a member of the market committee shall be filled by the election of a person thereto, and the person so elected shall hold office for the remainder of the term of office of the member in whose place he is elected: Provided that no such casual vacancy shall be filled if the vacancy occurs within six months preceding the date on which the term of office of the member ordinarily expires.
