Disqualification of sitting member

Disqualification of sitting member.—(1) If a member of a market committee,—

1. (a) becomes subject to any of the disqualifications mentioned in section 16;
2. (b) absents himself from three consecutive meetings of the market committee without the permission of the market committee;
3. (c) ceases to be a member of the constituency from which he was elected; his seat shall thereupon become vacant: Provided that before declaring the seat as vacant, the member shall be given an opportunity to be heard.
