The Karnataka Agricultural Produce Marketing (Regulation) Act, 1966Power of State Government to call for proceedings of market committee and to pass order thereon.—(1) The State Government may, at any time, call for and examine the proceedings of any market committee or of the Chairman, or any officer of such committee, for the purpose of satisfying itself as to the legality or propriety of any order passed, or proceeding taken, under this Act, and may pass such order in reference thereto as it thinks fit: Provided that no order shall be passed under this section which adversely affects any person, unless such person has been given a reasonable opportunity of being heard.
- (2) The State Government may by order stay the execution of any such decision or order pending the exercise of powers under sub-section (1) in respect thereof.
- (3) The State Government may delegate the power under this section to the Director of Agricultural Marketing.
