Exemption
The Jharkhand Tourism Development and Registration Act, 2015(1) The State Government may, by notification, direct that all or any of the provisions of this Act shall not generally apply to: (i) premises used for public purposes of a charitable nature, or any class of premises used for such purposes, (ii) premises held and rented on nominal rent for religious purposes by a public trust, (iii) premises held for religious or charitable purposes by a public trust and managed by a local authority, (iv) rest houses, dak bungalows, circuit houses, inspection bungalows, inns or any institution or premises being managed or run by the Government or local authority. (2) The State Government may, by order, also direct that, subject to such terms and conditions, if any, as may be specified in the order, all or any of the provisions of Chapter-II shall not apply to such hotels or institutions, or class of hotels or institutions, as may be specified in the order.
