Applications for acquisition of land for private irrigation works

Any permanent holder who desires to construct a private irrigation work, towards the construction of which the State Government has sanctioned a grant or loan of money, and to acquire for such purpose the land of another may apply in writing to the State Government through the Collector, stating— (a) that he has endeavoured unsuccessfully to acquire the land; and (b) that he desires the Collector, on his behalf and at his cost, to acquire the land for him under this Act.
