Annual Accounts

The annual accounts and financial estimates of the University shall be prepared and submitted to the Executive Council for approval and subsequently audited. (1) The final authority responsible for maintenance of discipline among the students of the University shall be the Vice Chancellor; and all Heads of the departments shall have authority to exercise such disciplinary powers as may be assigned to them by the Vice Chancellor. (2) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-section (1), the punishment of debarring a student from the examination or rustication from the University or a hostel or an institution shall, on the report of the Vice Chancellor, be considered and imposed by the Executive Council: Provided that before such report is considered, the Vice Chancellor shall give to the student concerned a reasonable opportunity to show cause in respect of the action proposed to be taken against him.
