Meeting of the Executive Council
The Hidayatullah National University of Law Chhattisgarh Act, 2003(1) The Executive Council shall meet at least once in six months and a notice of not less than fifteen days shall be given of meeting. (2) Five members of the Executive Council shall constitute quorum for the meeting. (3) In case of difference of opinion among the members, the opinion of the Vice Chancellor shall prevail. (4) Every meeting of the Executive Council shall be presided by the Vice Chancellor and in his absence, by the senior most member of the Executive Council present at the occasion. (5) Each member of the Executive Council shall have one vote and if there shall be equality of votes on any question to be determined for the Executive Council, the Vice Chancellor or the member presiding over that meeting shall, in addition, have a casting vote. (6) If urgent action by the Executive Council becomes necessary, the Vice Chancellor may permit the business to be transacted by circulation of papers to the members of the Executive Council, and the action proposed to be taken shall not be taken unless agreed to by a majority of members of the Executive Council; however, the action so taken shall be immediately intimated to all the members of the Executive Council and the papers shall be placed before the next meeting of the Executive Council for information.
