Vice-Chancellor

(1) The Vice-Chancellor shall be appointed by the Chancellor from a panel of persons recommended by the Search Committee constituted for the purpose. (2) The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a term of five years and shall be eligible for re-appointment. (3) If the office of Vice-Chancellor becomes vacant due to resignation, death or otherwise, the Chancellor shall appoint an acting Vice-Chancellor. (1) The Executive Council shall be the highest executive body of the University. (2) The administration, management and control of the University shall be vested in the Executive Council which shall control and administer the property and funds of the University. (3) The composition of the Executive Council shall be such as is specified in the Schedule. The Executive Council shall be the principal executive body which shall control and administer the property and funds of the University.
