Powers of Vice-Chancellor
The Hidayatullah National University of Law Chhattisgarh Act, 2003(1) The Vice-Chancellor shall be the principal academic and executive officer of the University. (2) He shall preside over the meetings of the authorities of the University. (3) He shall have the power to convene meetings of the authorities of the University. (1) The Academic Council shall be the highest academic body of the University and shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the Regulations, have power of control and general regulation on, and be responsible for the maintenance of standards of instruction, education and examination of the University. (2) The Academic Council shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be conferred or imposed upon it by this Act or the Regulations and shall have the right to advise the Executive Council on all academic matters. (3) The Academic Council shall have the power to propose Regulations on all the matters specified in clause 15 of the Schedule and matter incidental and related thereto. The Executive Council may by resolution, delegate to the Vice Chancellor or to a Committee, such of its powers as it may deem fit, subject to the condition that the action taken by the Vice Chancellor or such Committee shall be reported to the next meeting of the Executive Council. The Executive Council may by resolution, delegate to the Vice Chancellor or to a Committee, such of its powers as it may deem fit, subject to the condition that the action taken by the Vice Chancellor or such Committee in the exercise of the powers so delegated shall be reported at the next meeting of the Executive Council.
