Uttarakhand Uniform Civil Code of Uttarakhand, Rules, 2025Rejection Order of Statement of Live-in Relationship [Under Rule 5(4)(b)(v) & 6(4) (i)(i) of The Uniform Civil Code Rules, Uttarakhand, 2025] ORDER Rejection Order No. This is with reference to the statement number of the statement of live-in relationship between Ms. (Name of Woman) D/o Mr. R/o , and Mr. (Name of Man) S/o Mr. R/o submitted on (Date of Submission of Statement). Subsequently a summary inquiry was conducted in accordance with the provisions contained in The Uniform Civil Code, Uttarakhand, 2024 and The Uniform Civil Code Rules, Uttarakhand, 2025. During the summary inquiry it was revealed that the statement was not in conformity with the following requirements of The Uniform Civil Code, Uttarakhand, 2024/The Uniform Civil Code Rules, Uttarakhand, 2025 - 1. The registrants fall within the degrees of prohibited relationship and marriage is not permitted between them under the customs and usage followed by either of the partners, or even if permitted, it is against public policy and morality; and/or 2. One or both registrant(s) is/are already married; and/or 3. One or both registrant(s) is/are already in a live-in relationship with a third person; and/or 4. One or both registrant(s) is/are minor(s); and/or 5 Consent of one of the registrants was obtained by force, coercion, undue influence, misrepresentation, or fraud as to any material fact or circumstance concerning the other registrant, including her/his identity; and/or 6. An averment has been made in the statement of live-in relationship which is false and which the registrant(s) know(s) or has/have reason(s) to believe to be false; and/or (Enter the reasoning for rejection.) 7. The registrants have withheld any material fact in the statement of live-in relationship affecting the decision of the Registrar whether to register such live- in relationship or to reject the registration; and/or 8. Additional information/clarification has not been submitted within the time limit of ten days. Reasoning for Rejection In the circumstances, the statement of live-in relationship, mentioned above is, hereby, rejected. In case of Rejection by Registrar Within thirty days from the receipt of this rejection order the registrant(s) may prefer an appeal to the Registrar General on the Web-portal/MobileApp of The Uniform Civil Code, Uttarakhand, 2024.
