Local authority to provide place for recreation, sports field, pasture land, etc.

The local authority may, subject to the provisions of this Act and Rules framed thereunder, provide as far as possible, (1) Open spaces, parks, playgrounds, common swimming tanks and other amenities for use and enjoyment of the people and may frame bye-laws regulating their use; (2) Let out any park or land for sporting fields and may permit erection of tents, sheds or galleries on such terms and conditions as the local authority may prescribe; (3) Provide pasture lands for use of domestic cattle.
