Inquiry by Collector

Inquiry by Collector.-The Collector shall, after issue of proclamation, expeditiously inquire into--

1. (a) the claim preferred before him under clause
2. (b) of section 20, and,
3. (b) the existence of any right mentioned in section 18 and not claimed under clause
4. (b) of section 20, so far as the same may be ascertainable from the records of the State Government and the evidence of any person acquainted with the same.
