49. Inspection of college or recognized institution 49. (I) E' cry affiliated college and recognised msutution shall furnish such reports. returns and oth.:r mformauon as the Board. after consulting the Academic Council. may require 10 enable it 10· judge the efficiency of the college or the msmuuon (2) On a d1rcc1ion by the Board in 1ha1 behalf. it shall he the duty of the in5pection commmce con~titutcd hy 11 to inspect an affiliated college or a rccogmsed msmunon and 10 make a report to the Board. (3) Tne Board ~hall c.;~ every such coi,ege or 10st1tu:1on to be mspc..-cted irom rime to lime by the inspection committee. (4) The Board may call upon any college or 111stitution so inspected to take. wnhin a specified period, such action as may appc~r to it to be necessary in respect of the matters and undertakings referred to in its application under sub-section (1) of section 46 or, as the case may be, sub- section (2) of section 48 or the conditions subject to which such status is granted.
