Statutory text

(i) obstruct a Gram panchayat or an Panchayat or [***] or a Zilla Parishad or any [***] or members, employee or agent thereof or Zilla Parishad or prevent or attempts to prevent any such officers from doing member, employee or agent from doing anything under anything which he is empowered or required this Act etc. to do under the provisions of this Act or any rule bye-law made thereunder ; or
(ii) without lawful authority removes or destroys, defaces or otherwise obliterates any notice, materials, lamp post, direction post, stand post or any other property exhibited or erected by the Gram Panchayat or [***] or Zilla Parishad or under its authority, shall be punishable with fine which may extend to two hundred rupees.
