Appeals against orders of punishment

An appeal against any order of punishment passed against an officer under in the present Act or any rules made there under, shall lie - (a) where the order has been passed by the Director General of Police-to the State Government; and (b) where the order has been passed by an officer, subordinate to the Director General of Police-to the officer, who is next higher in rank in the Police hierarchy from the officer, who passed such order.
