Amendment of Section 11.

In the said Act in Section 11, after sub-section (2), the following SUb-section shall be inserted namely.- (3)" if an employee (Drivers/Conductors) ofThe Sikkim Nationalised Transport while performing his duties commits the offence as provided under sub-section (1), he shall be liable to pay the fare two times more than the actual fare from originating station to the destination in the first offence. On repetition of such offence for second and third instances, such penalty shall be three and five times more respectively. If the same offend is repeated beyond three times, disciplinary action against the concerned official shall be initiated as per the provision of The Sikkim Government Servants' (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1985 and The Sikkim Government Servants' Conduct Rules, 1982."
