Transitional provision as to Administrators

Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, an Administrator exercising the powers and performing the duties of a Panchayati Raj Institution on the date of coming into force of the Constitution (Seventy Third Amendment) Act, 1993, shall continue to do so till 31st March, 1995 or till the concerned Panchayati Raj Institution is constitution after the first election held under the provisions of the Act, whichever is earlier.
