Standing Committees of the Zila Parishad

(1) Every Zila Parishad shall constitute five standing committees, one each for the groups of subjects specified in Sub- sec. (1) of Sec. 55-A and may constitute a sixth committee for any of the subject not specified in any group of groups of subjects as aforesaid. (2)In relation to the constitution, term of office and conduct of business of such committees and other cognate matters, the provisions of Sec. 55-A shall mutatis mutandis apply subject to the variation that for the expressions "Sarpanch", "Up- Sarpanch" and "Panchayat" the expressions "Pramukh", "Up-Pramukh" and "Zila Parishad" shall respectively be substituted.
