100% by promotion. Must hold a degree in Mech. Engg. or Mech. & Elec. Engg. of a University established by Law in India or a degree or diploma in Mech. Engg. of a foreign University or Institution declared by Govt. to be equivalent of a degree of University established by law in India. 10 years' experience in Blasting or Drilling work or both of which 3 years must be on the post of Executive Engineer. Executive Engineer. 3 years' experience on the post mentioned in Col. No. 5. The nature & period of experience may be revised after a period of three years after the commencement of the rules. £"Upper age limit shall be relaxed upto 45 years, if the post is filled by direct recruitment."
