Vacancies.

(1) A member of the Council shall be deemed to have vacated his seat if he— (a) fails to accept office within one month of the date of his nomination or election, or within such further time as the Council may for sufficient cause allow; (b) absents himself from three consecutive meetings of the Council without such leave as may in the opinion of the Council be sufficient ground and cause ; (c) is absent out of India for a period exceeding six consecutive months. (2) On the occurrence of a vacancy under sub-section (1), the President shall forthwith report the same to the State Government.
