Establishment of Council.

(1) The State Government shall, as soon as may be, after the commencement of this Act, by notification, establish a Council, to be called the Punjab Veterinary Council and such Council shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal with power to acquire, hold and dispose of property, and to contract, and may by the said name sue and be sued. (2) The Council shall also act as an advisory body to the State Government in all policy matters concerning the veterinary profession, veterinary education and development of animal husbandry.
