Vacation of seats

Vacation of seats. -

1. (1) A seat in the Village Council shall become automatically vacant as a result of removal of members as provided under section 8, and it shall forthwith be declared by the State Government as such.
2. (2) In the event of resignation of any member on any ground, the resignation shall be submitted to the President who shall communicate forthwith to the State Government or to an authorised official for acceptance, and until the resignation is accepted, he shall continue to function as such. Any resignation shall be normally accepted.
3. (3) If at any time, for any reason there is casual vacancy of a seat in the Village Council, it shall be reported forthwith to the State Government by the President or the Vice-President, as the case may be.
