Filling of Casual Vacancies

Filling of Casual Vacancies.-

1. (1) All casual vacancies among the members of any Authority or other body of the University (other than ex officio members) shall be filled, as soon as may be, by the person or body who appoints, elects or co-opts the member whose place has become vacant and person appointed, elected or co-opted to a casual vacancy shall be a member of such authority or body for the residue of the term for which the person whose place he fills would have been a member.
2. (2) A person, during the time of establishment of Mizoram State University, who is a member of an Authority or serving as member of a Committee in Mizoram University as a representative of another body whether of Mizoram University or an affiliated college or outside, shall continue to be a member of the body by which he was appointed or elected and thereafter till his successor is duly appointed.
