Medical Inspector

Statutory text
(1) The State Government shall appoint a registered medical practitioner as a Medical Inspector for the purposes of this Act. (2) The Medical Inspector may visit any Children’s Home, Special School, or any other institution established under this Act at any time with or without notice to its manager in order to report to the Chief Inspector on the health of the inmates and the sanitary condition of the school or home. Provided that where any such school or home is for the reception exclusively of girls, a male registered medical practitioner shall not visit such home or school without giving previous notice to the manager thereof.
