Interpretation.

In this Chapter, unless the context requires otherwise—

1. (a) “appointed day” means the day on which this Act comes into force;
2. (b) “existing board” means a district local board established under the Bombay Local

Boards Act, 1923 (Bom. VI of 1923), a district board constituted under the Hyderabad District
