Statutory text
- (1) The Rector of the University shall be appointed by the Chairman of the General Council after consultation with the Vice-Chancellor : Provided that the Executive Director in office immediately before the date of coming into force of the Madhya Pradesh Makhanlal Chaturvedi Rashtriya Patrakarita Vishwavidyalaya Sansthan (Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam, 2006 shall continue in office for the unexpired term of his appointment and shall be known as Rector.
- (2) The Rector shall exercise such powers and perform such duties of the Vice-Chancellor as the Vice-Chancellor may delegate to him.
- (3) The Rector shall be a person who has experience of at least twenty years on a responsible post in the field of administration.
- (4) The Rector shall be the head of the general administration and financial administration of the University.
