174. Resignation of members. - A member of a Zilla Panchayat may resign his membership in writing under his hand address ed to the Adhyaksha of the Zilla Panchayat and his seat shall become vacant on the expiry of fifteen clear days from the date of such resignation unless within the said period of fifteen days, he withdraws such resignation by writing under his hand address ed to the Adhyaksha.1[The Adhyaksha shall cause the letter of resignation to be laid in the next meeting of the Zilla Panchayat.]1
