Powers and duties of the Executive Council: The Executive Council-

Powers and duties of the Executive Council: The Executive Council- (1) shall hold, control and manage the property and funds (together with endowments, bequests and donations) of the University and other transfers of property made to Regional Centres for their benefit; (2) shall regulate the form, provide for the custody and regulate the use of the common seal of the University; (3) shall, subject to the powers conferred by or under this Act on the Vice-Chancellor and Academic Council, determine and regulate all matters concerning the University in accordance with the Ordinance, the Statutes and the Regulations; (4) shall manage funds placed at the disposal of the University for specific purposes; (5) shall have power to accept transfers on behalf of the University of any movable or immovable property to and for the benefit of the University; (6) shall make the Statutes and the Ordinances, and shall amend or repeal them; (7) shall consider the Regulations, and amend or repeal the same; (8) shall pass resolution after having considered the annual report, the annual account, the budget estimates and audit report on such accounts; (9) shall institute and confer such degrees (undergraduate and postgraduate), titles, diplomas and other academic distinctions as may be prescribed by the Statutes; and (10) shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as are conferred or imposed on it by the Ordinance or the Statutes.
