Powers and functions of the Boards of Research Studies

Powers and functions of the Boards of Research Studies.—(1) Each Board shall have the following powers and functions, namely:—

1. (a) to advise the University on all matters connected with the promotion of research;
2. (b) to control and coordinate research work in the University;
3. (c) to approve the research programmes and supervise the progress of research students;
4. (d) to recommend the award of research degrees; and
5. (e) to consider any other matter referred to it by the Academic Council, the Syndicate and the University Council.
