Functions and Powers of the Boards of Studies.—(1) It shall be the duty of each Board of Studies to make recommendations regarding:—

1. (a) syllabi for the subject or subjects of study;
2. (b) combination of subjects permitted in the University;
3. (c) new courses of study except such as may got edited, printed and published by the University concerned in accordance with the Statutes;
4. (d) appointment of paper-setters and examiners: and
5. (e) any matter referred to it by the Vice-Chancellor, the Syndicate, the Academic Council or the Faculties.

1. (2) The Boards of Studies shall also perform such other functions as may be prescribed by the Statutes or the Regulations.
