Transitory provisions

Transitory provisions:

1. (1) Notwithstanding anything contained in this Act, the Vice-Chancellor may, with the previous approval of the Chancellor and subject to the availability of funds, discharge all or any of the functions of the University for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this Act and for that purpose may exercise any powers or perform any duties which by this Act are to be exercised or performed by any officer or authority of the University not yet constituted.
2. (2) The first Vice-Chancellor shall, within a period of one year from the date of his appointment or within such further period not exceeding three years as the State Government may specify by notification in the Official Gazette, cause the authorities of the University to be constituted under this Act.
