Re-appearing at the Public Examination
The Goa, Daman and Diu Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Act, 1975(1) A candidate once appeared for the S.S.C. or H.S.S.C. Examination of this Board and failed is eligible to appear for the examination again as a repeater candidate on a fresh application with specified fees. Provided that in his/her case the minimum attendance as stated in rule 15 shall not be compulsory. (2) A candidate who has failed in the public examination and has been re-admitted in the institution as regular student to the final standard shall not be eligible to appear as a repeater. (3) A repeater candidate shall submit his/her application form for admission to the examination. through the head of the school last attended, even if the leaving certificate is obtained by him/her or through any other recognized school if the last attended school is de-recognised and is not in existence. (4) A repeater candidate wishing to offer any subjects other than those offered by him /her at the earlier examination shall not be required to satisfy the Head of the secondary/higher secondary school last attended that he/she has completed the course specified in the new subject or subjects, which he/she wishes to offer. However he/she wishes to offer. However he/she shall not offer subjects involving practical work.
