Statutory text

(1) Subject to the provisions of this Adhiniyam and statutes, the authorities of the Vishwavidyalaya may make regulations consistent with this Adhiniyam to provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:-
- (a) the appointment, procedure for selection, pay and allowances and other conditions of service of officers, teachers and other employees of the Vishwavidyalaya;
- (b) the giving of notice to the members of any authority of the Vishwavidyalaya the dates of the meetings and the business to be transacted at the meetings and for keeping record of the proceedings of the meetings;
- (c) the procedure to be observed at the meetings and the number of members required to form the quorum; and
- (d) any other matter which is required to be or may be prescribed by regulations.
(2) The Academic Council may, subject to the provisions of the statutes, make regulations providing for the courses of study, system of examinations and award of degrees, diplomas and other academic distinctions of the Vishwavidyalaya, after receiving the drafts of the same from the board of studies concerned.
(3) The Executive Council may issue such directions as it may think fit to the authority concerned to amend any regulation.
