Power to enter and break open any premise

Any officer of the Fire Force not below the rank of Station Officer may enter and if necessary, break open any premise or place or any part of any premise or place, by any reasonable force, if he has reason to believe that fire has broken out or is likely to break out or needs to be investigated in that premise or place and he may do all such acts as he may deem necessary, for extinguishing or preventing the fire or for protecting life or property or for search or rescue operation in accordance with the provisions of this Act.
