General Powers of the Director General.
The Chhattisgarh Fire and Emergency Service Act, 2018The Director General shall, subject to the superintendence and control of the Government, direct and regulate all matters of fire safety, firefighting equipment, machinery and appliances, training, observation of persons and events, mutual relations, distribution of duties, study of laws, orders and modes of proceedings and all matters of executive detail or the fulfillment of duties and maintenance of discipline of Fire Officers and members of the Fire and Emergency Service under him, as per the state rules. The Director General shall function as Head of the Department and in addition to above shall exercise such powers and perform such duties and functions as may be conferred, imposed or allotted to him by or under the provisions of this Act or prescribed rules.
