Constitution of Tree Authority

1. (1) The State Government shall by notification,

constitute the Tree Authority consisting of the following :-

1. (i) the Mayor of the Municipal Corporation ;
2. (ii) the Commissioner;
3. (iii) the Divisional Forest Officer having jurisdiction over the town/city;
4. (iv) the District Horticulture Officer having jurisdiction over the city; and
5. (v) one Councillor to be nominated by the Mayor.

1. (2) The Mayor shall be the Chairman of the Tree Authority.
