Power to make bye-laws.—

1. (1) The Corporation may make bye-laws not inconsistent with the provisions of this Act and the rules made thereunder, for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of this Act.
2. (2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such bye-laws may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:—
   • (a) the regulation of the use of public parks, gardens and other public places;
   • (b) the regulation of the manner in which the conservancy and sanitation services are to be performed;
   • (c) the regulation of the construction, alteration or maintenance of private drains and the construction of private drains in or under public streets;
   • (d) the regulation of the keeping of animals or birds and the construction of stables, cow-sheds and piggeries;
   • (e) the prevention of dangerous diseases;
   • (f) the regulation of the use of public water and the protection of water supply;
   • (g) the regulation of the sale of food and meat and the inspection of markets and slaughter houses.
3. (3) The power to make bye-laws under this section shall be subject to the condition of previous publication.
4. (4) Every bye-law made under this section shall be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette and shall come into operation on the date of such publication.
