Functions of the Deputy Mayor

Functions of the Deputy Mayor. —

1. (1) The Deputy Mayor shall exercise such of the powers and perform such of the functions of the Mayor as the Mayor may, from time to time, delegate to him in writing.
2. (2) The Deputy Mayor shall exercise the powers and perform the functions of the Mayor —
   • (a) in the absence of the Mayor;
   • (b) in the event of a vacancy in the office of the Mayor; or
   • (c) pending the election of a Mayor under section 20.
