Power to amend the Schedule

- (1) Authority to amend the Schedule: The General Council, with the prior approval of the Chairman in consultation with the Board of Trustees/ Managing Trustees, and in coordination with the Government of Andhra Pradesh, may amend the Schedule of this Act by notification, ensuring that the BCI Trust PEARL-FlRST’s objectives remain central to any such amendments. This ensures that all amendments align with the strategic vision and goals of the BCI Trust. The Chairman, in consultation with the Board of Trustees/ Managing Trustees, shall have the authority to make urgent or emergency decisions related to amendments of the Schedule, should immediate action be required for the benefit of the University. Such decisions shall later be ratified by the Board to maintain transparency and alignment with the long-term objectives of the University.
- (2) Notification and Legislative Oversight: Every notification issued under sub-section
- (1) shall be laid before the State Legislature of Andhra Pradesh, as soon as possible after it is issued.
