Statutory text

(1) The University shall be a unitary, non-affiliating Cluster University and shall consist of a Chancellor, a Vice-Chancellor, an Executive Council, an Academic Senate, a Planning and Monitoring Board, and such other Authorities and Officers as may be declared under this Act for conducting teaching, research, evaluation, general administration and such other activities as may be approved by the appropriate authorities.
(2) The Cluster University, Kurnool shall be a body corporate having perpetual succession and a common seal, and shall sue and be sued by the said Corporate name.
(3) It shall have the power to acquire and hold property, movable and immovable, to transfer the same, to contract and to do all other things necessary for the purpose of its constitution and may sue and be sued by its corporate name.
(4) In all suits and other legal proceedings by or against the University, the pleadings shall be signed and verified by the Registrar and all processes in such suits and proceedings shall be issued to and served on the Registrar.
