Quorum
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Municipal Regulation 1994(1) The quorum necessary for the transaction of business at a special meeting of Municipality shall be one-half of the number of elected members serving for the time being, but shall not be less than three. (2) The quorum necessary for the transaction of business of an ordinary meeting of Municipality shall be one-third of the number of members serving for the time being, but shall not be less than three. (3) If at any ordinary or special meeting a quorum is not present, the Chairperson shall adjourn the meeting to such other day as he may think fit, and that the business which would have been brought before the original meeting if there had been a quorum present, shall be brought before, and transacted at the adjourned meeting whether there be a quorum present thereat or not.
