Bathing and washing places.
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Municipal Regulation 1994(1) A Municipality may set apart suitable places in the municipal area for the purposes of bathing and may specify the times at which and the sex of the person to whom such places may be used and may also set apart suitable places for washing animals or clothes or for any other purposes connected with the health cleanliness or comfort of the inhabitants of the municipal area; and by public notice prohibit the bathing or washing of animal or clothes in any public place not so set apart or at times or by persons other than those specified and any other act by which water in public places may be rendered foul or unfit for use and may charge fees for the use of such places by any specified class or classes of persons or by the public generally. (2) A Municipality may fix by notice places at which articles or clothing, bedding or other articles which have been exposed to infection shall be washed and no persons shall wash any such articles at any place in the Municipal area not so fixed.
