The traverse survey of an area referred to in rule 58 shall ordinarily be carried out by theodolite observations.

1. (1) The cadastral survey of the area shall be based on traverse survey.
2. (2) A detailed map of all the fields in a village shall be prepared on a scale map is already in existence, it will not be necessary, unless the survey and Settlement Officer so directs, of prepare a fresh map and the existing map may be brought upto date.
