Statutory text

(1) No suit or prosecution shall be entertained in any Court against the Department or against any officer or employee of the Department or against any person for any act done or purporting to be done or for acting under the order or direction of the competent authority or of any officer or of any employee of the Department for anything which is in good faith done or intended to be done under this Act or any rule or regulation, made hereunder.
(2) All officers and employees of the Department shall be deemed, when acting or purporting to act in pursuance of the provisions of this Act or any rules or regulations made hereunder, to be public servants within the meaning of Law for the time being in force.
